Kodak Company was faced with these negative effects after bringing in a technology expert as the new CEO. The bringing in of a new CEO brought technological discontinuities. The decisions made by the new CEO were poor which contributed to the company being declared bankrupt. The company was growing successful but the when a problem raised and the people had a solution to it the bosses ignore them. Innovators had no voice so they could not be heard; this led to the downfall of the business. The many ideas that could be used in the business were not approved by the CEO; instead, he ignored them. The CEO of Kodak company was changed in 1993 where a technology expert was introduced to the business (Kumar Meenakshi, 2009). He by the name George Fisher was believed to be better than Jack Wel ch or Lou Gerstner. People thought he had the best ideas but turned out that he had poor strategic decisions. It turned out be that George Fisher was ignorant than the other CEOs. George was a poor leader though most people believed in him. He did not prove of any ideas; he was ignorant to the cries and voices of the people, he made poor decisions and he did not need help when solving the companys issues thus all he did was poor. If a new manager/CEO is brought in a business, he or she should consult with the employees to know the activities carried out in business and may be change them to be better (Kumar Meenakshi, 2009). He or she should adhere to the laid down rules of the business and try to fit in the environment. He should also involve others in decision making to be able to make decisions that favor everyone in the company. If ideas brought to him are for the betterment of the business then he should approve them and be ready to solve any issues with his employees to conti nue the smooth running of the business and it success in future.
